"THE ABUSED‘s one and only officially released record, this 8 song 7?EP, is one of those mysterious little gems that passed nearly un-noticed when first released, but turned out to be one milestone in HC. In all these years, the thick sound of this 7? never has failed to run me shivers down my spine. I dunno, however beaten to death this may be, ABUSED still shred. Great from alpha to omega, but “Nuclear Threat” must be my fave pick here. You hardly can do that kind of music better. And then, when you watch the backcover photo closely, you’ll notice the cigarette the guy at the left is holding and you know, this IS a masterpiece. This was our battle cry back in my junior and senior years (Class of '84!), when our small crew of hardcore kids were constantly getting into scrapes with drunk and drugged jocks and heads... The Abused were great and short-lived band - this being their only official release... READ THE DESCRIPTION FULLY BEFORE BIDDING! The cover is less-than-perfect, and there is some minor warping on the record, but I played it through without any skipping."
