Description
This is a unique pressing of Abused AM-1, 1983 release by groundbreaking New York City hardcore band THE ABUSED, titled 'LOUD AND CLEAR'. In the same vein as Warzone, Agnostic Front and Sick Of It All. I saw this description somewhere online a while ago and copied it down (looks like it was translated... and poorly... but it's makes the point!): << Furious among the other bands, the vocalist seems to be beating up somebody while singing, and it makes you feel like the one beaten deserves it. All the tracks are incredible, but maybe the super classic "Drug Free Youth" sticks out, as the voice uses up its full potential. >>
Well-known and highly desirable record in its regular form: commercial press with pic sleeve (and insert?). I'm told 500 of those were made. I've seen it auctioned on eBay about a dozen times. It always went for over $200 and even went over $400, and the average has been around $300. But this is its rarest form. This is a test pressing of which probably only a couple were made; certainly no more than a half dozen. Maybe only one? Titles are handwritten. This could have been done by the pressing plant but more likely was done by the band. Ink is somewhat smeared, this happened a long time ago and ink is now dry with no danger of further smearing. Trailoff groove has this written: AM1-A, AM1-B. This is guaranteed original. Came from an estate sale. The generic sleeve pictured is the one in which it was found, and probably what it was 'issued' in.
Condition: VG. Not a trashed 'eBay VG' but a decent VG. This is, of course, a low grade for me. However, for some people VG means trashed or unplayable, that is not the case here. It does have an abundance of surface marks but only one, a scuffy-type mark, is feelable, and it's not deep. BARELY feelable. It plays VG+. Mild, low level surface noise only, only appearing occasionally. Labels are clean, besides the smeared ink, no other problems (no sticker residue, moisture damage, etc). My camera takes dark, yellowed pictures so I used eBay's autufix on one to restore it closer to its natural color. Generic sleeve only, no insert and no pic sleeve, as issued. //// Note: I'm a conservative grader. Check my feedback. Don't worry; in the unlikely event we disagree (it's only happened ONCE so far in my eBay career) ... it's returnable. 100% guaranteed.

It is the record in the plain sleeve as pictured. No insert, no pic sleeve. I think it was clear already but I want to make it CRYSTAL clear.
