THE ADDICTS: Here She Comes/Thats My Girl. Super Rare 1964 Beat Mod Belter Mint-. Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class Large Letter.
For auction a critically rare 45 from the dawn of British Beat and what a belter it is. This is a huge addition to any UK Beat Collection from Lancashires short lived Addicts. Copies of this rarely pop up and even fewer look as this one does - unplayed.
The vinyl is glossy, bright and lush. There are no scratches, scuffs or hairlines. It truly looks as though it has just left the pressing plant. The Decca labels are unfaded, deep blue and sparkling sliver without any tears, stains or writing. There is a small circular sticker on the B side, almost the same Decca shade of blue, which looks removable but I didn't attempt that for obvious reasons. Otherwise we are looking at a new record here. The birth bag is crisp and vibrant, no rips, no biro, no stains. It's hard to believe another copy of this in such immaculate condition will ever surface again.
The music speaks for itself. Followers of this period will know what this is - particularly the bluesy, driving guts of the B-Side "That's My Girl" - what a tune! This guy had Lennon's growl down.
