THE AMAZING BUD POWELL Vol 1 Blue Note 1503 og dg mono lp RVG ear Lex NYC jazz Shipping Info Description Vintage jazz vinyl: THE AMAZING BUD POWELL - Volume I - Blue Note Records, BLP 1503; very nice original pressing - deep groove mono, with RVG and the ear symbol in the matrix, and with the 767 Lexington Ave, NYC address to labels; the edge of the record isn't flat, but it is a more shallow point than usual (I think; it's not very thinned-out at all); 12 tracks, including several alternate takes; released in 1955. Players include Curly Russell, Sonny Rollins, Fats Navarro, Max Roach and others. We are listing alot of nice early & modern jazz and bebop LPs this week, most circa 1955-1965.
CONDITION: VG+/VG+ (the vinyl still has some gloss, with some minor scuffing and a few very soft scratches that I can't feel with a thumbnail, including two 1/2-inch scratches that look like you'd be able to - plays well with some occasional minor background and a few soft ticks to those two short scratches; labels are very clean; jacket has some minimal scuffing to front cover; back cover has a bit of wrinkling with several short tears at the top of the paste-down edge; spine has some minor rubbing; minor rubbing to bottom and top edges, but with a 4-inch split to top edge).
