Sleeve Design - Laminated single sleeve front with cardboard rear. Black and white photograph on front of sleeve. Album name in green/blue and band name in green. Decca logo on top left hand side. Rear of the sleeve is black and white with all lettering in black.
Record Details - The sleeve is in overall very good condition as shown in the pictures provided, it is graded at VG/EX. The front of the sleeve has some small creases in the lamination and a small amount of staining/wearing around the entrance to the sleeve. All four corners are in tact without damage and minimal creasing. The spine of the sleeve has some creasing yet all of the lettering is clear and legible. The rear of the sleeve has some creasing and small staining and a small amount of writing in the top left corner, however when you consider that this sleeve is close to 50 years old, it shows no worrying concerns.
The record itself plays through with no issues or concerns and is graded at VG/EX, it has a clear sound throughout. Side 1 has small surface marks that in no way affect playing or sound. Label on Side 1 has spindle marks as shown on picture. Side 2 has minimal surface marks that in no way affect playing or sound. Label on Side 2 has spindle marks (less than side 1) as shown on picture. Label on side 2 also has the number 14 which appears to have been written on at some point. Both labels have unfortunately been written on as shown in the picture.
I have used the Rare Record Guide grading system to grade the overall condition of both the sleeve and the record itself.
Record Collector Magazine Grading System:
MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be Mint.
EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding.
