Description
THE ANIMALS - "THE ANIMALS" - VINYL LP
COLUMBIA - 33SX 1669 - 1964 - UK - MONO
Rare UK 1st mono issue of the band's self-titled debut album from 1964.
Thick heavy pressing on the blue/black Columbia label with 1st pressing matrix 1N/1N. Comes housed in the 1st issue laminated flipback sleeve by Garrod & Lofthouse and original Emitex inner sleeve.
CONDITION (vinyl/cover)
VG+ (the labels are clean and bright and show only a small number of spindlemarks; the disc still has its original gloss and under strong angled light shows just light surface marks - mainly paper scuffs from sleeve removal and there's no bad scratches; I played the album in full and can confirm the audio is great throughout with just a handful of background ticks in the opening track, otherwise the audio is strong clear EX)
/ VG+ (very nice solid example with bright glossy laminate, no significant creases and light wear only; the edges are nice and sharp and the title on the spine is clear; the paper back just has some light browning/marking from storage; no writing, no tears, no splits)
