THE ANIMALS "THE ANIMALS"
COLUMBIA RECORDS Cat# SX 1669
1965 Original FIRST Issue debut LP
**********************************************************
This is the FIRST album recording from the premier Mod Blues band, fronted by the MASTERFUL vocalist ERIC BURDON.
Formed in Newcastle Upon Tyne in the early 60s, these lads were stirring up the North Eastern scene, while The Rolling Stones, Yardbirds, Downliners Sect and Bluesbreakers had aroused London and Manchester to original blues.
They created some white-boy R'n B that was something provocative and rebellious, post American rock n roll.
The singles came thick and fast after the first iconic hit. None are on this early album - but it is full of great classics nonetheless.
This is a BEAUTIFUL COPY of an already revered debut album that's ALMOST NEVER FOUND in redeemable shape - it was normally a Mod lp that got shared, loaned, played at parties, thrown across the carpet to that record changer, sat or leaned on and generally abused.
THIS copy was handled with care though, happily.
It's in great condition - and is now an 'archive copy'.
No upgrade needed.
Condition;
The VINYL is EXCELLENT+
LOVELY SHINE and NO scratches - the nicest copy I have seen, It is really a well preserved example.
The LABLES are EXCELLENT, some signs of play with spindle lines. No pen or stickers.
The FRONT LAMINATED FLIPBACK TAB card COVER is EXCELLENT.
Bright clean & flat, and little sign of aging.
Even the original rice-paper lined inner has no seam splitting!
See photos.
