Description

Absolutely stunning copy of the original 1968 first pressing of the Band’s Music from Big Pink on Capitol SKAO-2955. Original rainbow labels with the asterisk in the runoff indicating a Los Angeles pressing. The disc is very nearly perfectly mint and plays completely flawlessly and just gorgeously. This music really demands a near perfect copy, as much of it is quiet, or has quiet parts. And this is just about as perfect a listen as you will ever find. Just a beautiful player. The cover has a bit of wear on the edges and corners, with all four corners quite well-rubbed and some whitening and occasional fraying at the edges. Also a touch of ringwear. But still nicely bright and intact, with no seam splits or stains or mildew or creases or anything like that. This is a beautiful original copy that sounds absolutely fantastic. Hard to beat.
