Description
This is a half-speed master from the original recording stereo master tapes as undertaken by the US Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab. The mix is then pressed on high definition vinyl by the Victor Company of Japan.
The gatefold sleeve is a particularly heavy duty job even by US standards and the inner sleeve is a special static & dust free issue.
Although you could go to war with the sleeve it does show some edge and colour rubbing. On the front it reads in boxed gold text 'DEMONSTRATION COPY NOT FOR RESALE'. So it's solid and strong but has some wear. I rate it 8 out of 10 for overall condition.
Both the MFSL inner and the Victor sleeve are in nice clean shape.
The labels are fab and the flat shiny disc weighs 125g on the scale. At the centre holes it has evidence of one or two spins only and the playing surfaces are in oh so nice condition. Has a few faint scuffs as seen under a searching light but no problem by me in giving it 9 /10.
