The Band ?– The Band
Genre: Rock Style: Folk Rock Year: 1969 Notes: The Band is the second studio album by the Band, released on September 22, 1969. It is also known as The Brown Album. According to Rob Bowman's liner notes for the 2000 reissue, The Band has been viewed as a concept album, with the songs focusing on people, places and traditions associated with an older version of Americana. Thus, the songs on this album draw from historic themes for "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", "King Harvest (Has Surely Come)" and Richard Manuel's "Jawbone" (which was composed in the unusual 6/4 time signature.)Tracklist
Across The Great Divide 2:52 Rag Mama Rag 3:02 The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down 3:30 When You Awake 3:10 Up On Cripple Creek 4:29 Whispering Pines 3:55 Jemima Surrender 3:30 Rockin' Chair 3:40 Look Out Cleveland 3:07 Jawbone 4:17 The Unfaithful Servant 4:15 King Harvest (Has Surely Come) 3:35
The Vinyl MINT
Please note ! This is the original HEAVY THICKER AND DEEPER GROOVED TYPE OF VINYL (later press were much more flimsier and less robust) !!!
On initial visual inspection the playing surface looks awesome I can't see even a blemish. Any marks that could possibly be seen under a strong would be caused by the vinyl been slid in and out of its sleeve! Importantly There is (no) needle scratches or audio sounding marks that I heard at all !!!!!
UNPLAYED LOOKING CONDITION , SHOP FRESH !!!!
The Audio Quality NEAR MINT
I have played this through track for track at very loud volume on a top REGA system, the audio is awesome!

Certainly (no) clicks pops or jumps!! As good as it gets in my opinion!!
THIS AUDIO IS RATED AT THE VERY TOP ON ALL FREQUENCIES!
GRADED AS NEAR MINT!!
UNBELIEVABLE FOR A VINYL THAT IS 50 YEARS OLD!!!!! IN MY OPINION THESE ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSINGS PRODUCE THE BEST AUDIO QUALITY CAN NOT BE SURPASSED BY LATER PRESSINGS!!!
