Absolutely gorgeous copy of the 1972 2-for-1 double LP of two Beach Boys albums, the classic 1966 Pet Sounds and the 1972 Carl & the Passions So Tough album. Both reissued here on a double gatefold on Reprise / Brother Records 2MS-2083. This issue of Pet Sounds is said by many experts to be the ultimate pressing. The mastering is clearer and the EQ is way wider and more 3-dimensional, even though it is mono. This is a rare early press that still says "stereo" on the Pet Sounds labels, but it is the classic Brian Wilson mono mix. Both discs are very nearly perfectly mint and play flawlessly and just beautifully. Truly a lovely listen all the way through. The cover has slight ringwear and a little edgewear at the bottom, with a slightly bumped lower right corner. Only slightly. This is really a top copy inside and out. Just beautiful; hard to beat.
