Description
Very rare orginal far east (Phillipines or Taiwan possibly?) 60's pressing if their 1966 classic with cool painted like artwork cover, this is on the First Records label (FL-S 1362) & is a stereo pressing (these usually aren't good record pressings though) comes in a usual paper sleeve coated in thin plastic on both the front & back sleeves.
AMG REVIEW: The best Beach Boys album, and one of the best of the 1960s. The group here reached a whole new level in terms of both composition and production, layering tracks upon tracks of vocals and instruments to create a richly symphonic sound. Conventional keyboards and guitars were combined with exotic touches of orchestrated strings, bicycle bells, buzzing organs, harpsichords, flutes, theremin, Hawaiian-sounding string instruments, Coca-Cola cans, barking dogs, and more. It wouldn't have been a classic without great songs, and this has some of the group's most stunning melodies, as well as lyrical themes which evoke both the intensity of newly born love affairs and the disappointment of failed romance (add in some general statements about loss of innocence and modern-day confusion as well). The spiritual quality of the material is enhanced by some of the most gorgeous upper-register male vocals (especially by Brian and Carl Wilson) ever heard on a rock record. "Wouldn't It Be Nice," "God Only Knows," "Caroline No," and "Sloop John B" (the last of which wasn't originally intended to go on the album) are the well-known hits, but equally worthy are such cuts as "You Still Believe in Me," "Don't Talk," "I Know There's an Answer," and "I Just Wasn't Made for These Times." It's often said that this is more of a Brian Wilson album than a Beach Boys recording (session musicians played most of the parts), but it should be noted that the harmonies are pure Beach Boys (and some of their best). Massively influential upon its release (although it was a relatively low seller compared to their previous LPs), it immediately vaunted the band into the top level of rock innovators among the intelligentsia, especially in Britain, where it was a much bigger hit.
SONGS: A1 Wouldn't It Be Nice A2 You Still Believe In Me A3 That's Not Me A4 Don't Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder) A5 I'm Waiting For The Day A6 Let's Go Away For Awhile A7 Sloop John B B1 God Only Knows B2 I Know There's An Answer B3 Here Today B4 I Just Wasn't Made For These Times B5 Pet Sounds B6 Caroline No
CONDITION: The record is in excellent to near mint condition on the A side & B side is VG+ to excellent (looks like it's lightly stained by the plastic over the past 40 or so years leaking on it, sort of like some gasoline on water affect) this is VISUALLY graded, these records from the far east from the 60's weren't ever that well made pressing quality wise (but this is a very nice looking one compared to most I find).
The cover is VG+ & in far better condition than I usually see on these with not much wear on the plastic at all, lightly dented bottom left corner tip & light price tag damage on the upper right corner of the plastic, back insert is still true light grey (these are usually copied off USA copies by the record plants) with no yellowing/browning yet (all artwork has not been damaged by air leaking on them yet).

GRADING:
I pretty much use the Goldmine & Record Collector magazines standards for grading, I can send you a link for details in depth about record/cover grading. My other items like CD's & books go by the same grading system as a general guide. I've been selling records & CD's professionally for over 20 years now & I try to be accurate in my grading (read my feedbacks on that, I rarely mis-grade, records are always VISUALLY graded only unless stated).
LP SHIPPING + PACKING & VARIOUS INFO:
I use real coated cardboard LP mailers when I ship vinyl & these are very durable. I usually take the records with the inner sleeves out of the covers (unless factory sealed of course) so they don't split the seams of the cover in shipment. Then I put them in a 2 or 3 mil plastic sleeve & then wrap a plastic bag or two around them to keep them from flopping around in the mailer, this method seems to work best since it adds air & almost works like bubble wrap (keeps the LP's usually under a pound & saves a lot on shipping rates worldwide compared to using cardboard inserts), breakage rate has been way less than 1 in 1000 using this method, if I added cardboard it also would make the weight of it more prone to the corners getting dented in transit if dropped. 10" records & 12" singles count as 1 LP for shipping, single laserdiscs count as 2 LP's for shipping (& I pack 2+ records differently & I have oversized boxes for larger packages).
All records are BLACK VINYL unless noted & inserts/gatefold covers/posters/custom inner sleeves will be noted in the description if they are included plus promo & cutout marks stated if they are there also. I don't believe in hiding stuff & try to note most everything that should matter to buyers. All 12" vinyl on ebay is automatically listed as 33 1/3 rpm & 7" vinyl as 45 rpm (to save time on listing all this stuff) if you need to confirm speed on a specific item please ask & I can go check.

SHIPPING & HANDLING RATES:
On this item are listed on the bottom, my detailed shipping rates are on a separate page (click on the shipping rates link) if you want to bunch up items to save shipping cost. My shipping rates are extremely cheap compared to most other full time sellers & pretty much are only covering shipping & the mailer & just a fraction of my other actual costs, insurance is always the customers responsibility.
OTHER INFO:
I tend to run a lot of the same bands/type of music at the same time. Most cleared payments go out within 24 hours. I'm working by myself here so you are only communicating with me & not a bunch of people & I'm at my computer several times a day & rarely miss a day checking emails. So expect quality hands on service. Everything you see on auction & in my store is (physically) here with me (& no middleman shipping ever!).
Most my items I list go on auction first & then if they don't sell to my store within a few days after the auction ends (for usually more than my minimum bid so watch my auctions to get the best prices on some of the items). I try to keep 50-100 auctions going at all times (usually at least 25) there are well over 3000 items in my ebay store now.
OTHER INFO FOR FOREIGN BUYERS:
I very much welcome my foreign customers, a full 1/2 or more of all my ebay sales go overseas now so I've become quite used to dealing with overseas bidders/buyers. Most of you don't pay for registered/insured mail which is fine with me (but at your own risk) which is usually never a problem. I do get receipts at the post office as proof of shipment.
