Description
A rare UK 1969 Stereo copy of The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds which includes many of their best loved songs including God Only Knows, Wouldn't It Be Nice, Sloop John B and more.
Released on the Capitol line green target label no. ST 2458
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up spotlessly clean and very shiny with some visible scuffs and hairlines but no feelable damage. Graded VG+ but plays closer to EX.
Playback reveals a wonderfully warm and nostalgic analogue sound, room filling, outstanding stereo separation which is just beautiful on God Only Knows. No jumping or sticking - the vinyl behaves as it should. Some low noise/crackle in parts, typical for vinyl of this vintage, mostly between tracks on Side 1 - Side 2 is much cleaner.
The laminate front outer sleeve is shiny and sturdy with light creasing but no laminate lift or peel. Mild discolouration visible to the rear and a small patch of light staining. No writing, tears, splits or tape.
The original Made In England Patented inner sleeve is present - we have popped the record into a brand new poly lined inner sleeve to keep it pristine after cleaning - you will receive both.
A lovely copy for any collection to own, play and enjoy, fully cleaned and tested, ready to pop straight onto your turntable.
We have taken lots of photos in good natural daylight so you can see exactly what you are buying. Please take a moment to look at the pictures as they form part of the description.
