The enigmatic psych recording from the Beach Boys, composed by the somewhat strange genius Brian Wilson and in a competitive mood to rival The Beatles, and following on from the brilliant 'Pet Sounds'.
They were the best US band of the time, and the music doesn't diminish with age - this period was very experimental but fraught with interference from no only the record company, but also the band themselves!
Brian had made the breakthroughs from doo wop surf harmony pop boasting about cars, and was deeper into psychedelic experimentation.
This lp stretched that influence too the limits, and at the same time producing the most AMAZING and beautiful tune; 'Good Vibrations'.
Also one of my own favourites, 'Vegetables'!
So cool!
The original sessions have been famously released as 'SMILE' now, and provides even more evidence for where Brian Wilson was going with his compositions.
This Danish pressing is a special item, and it's not simple to find in top shape.
It's a historic 60s album, and in lovely playing and visual shape!
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT.
This is a very clean copy! Just sparse and superficial surface marks visible under bright light.
Capitol 'Rainbow' Lables are NEAR MINT, no stains, stickers or pen. BEAUTIFUL!
The UK LAMINATED 'FLIPBACK' COVER is EXCELLENT.
