Description

This is a nice copy of one of the rarest singles by The Beach Boys: "Surfin" b/w "Luau" (Candix 331). Released in 1961. Side A is by Mike Love and Brian Wilson. The B side is written by Hite Morgan, who also produced this single. This is now widely regarded as the first issue of this single. Subsequent issues include X 301 (issued in December, 1961), Candix 301, then Candix 301 with "dist. by ERA Records" on the label.
The record is in strong VG condition. Just some writing on the "Surfin" side in the Candix logo ("Judi Kelly" and "84" is written in blue pen). The label of the "Luau" side has no writing. Neither label has any stickers or tears, just some wear. Vinyl on both sides is nice. Some gloss is retained, but there are light scuffs. Plays great--nice and strong through some noise.
