Description
This is the first of several Beach Boys albums I intend to list. It is an original mono copy of Surfin' Safari on Capitol Records T 1808. It is on the Capitol rainbow label and has the matrix number of T-1-1808-D4 on the trail out of Side One, and T-2-1808-D4 on Side Two. The album plays VG++ (which would be comparable to EX) with light noise in the background. The noise is mainly noticeable at the beginning and ending of the sides and between tracks. It doesn't overpower the music. There are some light scuffs on it but the play grading is what should be considered. The tone is nice, and the labels are nice. Please note that in the photo, the Capitol Records inner sleeve looks faded. It is not. It's just how the photo turned out. The cover shows wear on the front that should be visible in the photos. There is a slight bit of seam split starting on the bottom left for about a half inch and bottom right for 3/4 inch. It's just beginning to start on the upper left also. The back cover shows light wear and fading. It also has a name in pencil in the upper right. It looks like there may have been a sticker or something next to the name at one point. On the left I don't know what you would call it, but from the top down is a narrow brown stain? This should all be visible in the photos. The jacket sounds worse than it is. It is still solid. I'll call it VG- to VG. Please continue to check back as I will be slowly listing more original Beach Boys albums from the sixties.
