Description

This is an absolutely gorgeous MINT original 1972 pressing of the 2-for-1 double LP of the Beach Boys' Carl & the Passions "So Tough" album coupled with the first reissue of Pet Sounds. This is the original Artisan mastering from 1972, and is said by many to be the all-time best mastering of Pet Sounds ever released. The original 1966 issues were maybe a little hotter, but a little bit muddy. The later pressings from the 80s on are either just as muddy or a little wimpy. This one is just perfect, much clearer and more full-dimensional, you might say. Really a joy to hear this pressing of one of the great rock albums of all time. Original labels with "stereo" blocked out. The So Tough album also sounds absolutely wonderful, and both discs are absolutely mint (I know I have played them, but still). The cover is still in the original shrinkwrap and has the rare hype sticker. This is a top, beautiful original copy and impossible to beat.
