This is a UK 1st Press of ’Surfer Girl' by The Beach Boys. This press is complete with the earliest stereo ST1 1981 - A9 / ST2 1981 - A9 matrix, the very early 1M/1M mothers and stampers, the earliest rainbow rim Capitol label, the inner sleeve and laminated Garrod & Lofthouse, patents pending flipback sleeve.
The record is in Excellent+ condition. The vinyl on each side is absolutely sensational, every track gleams. It has the original jet black gloss and no wear to the grooves at all, just a couple of the very slightest wispy marks.
The sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and from the moment it begins it is exceptionally rich and vibrant. Superb clarity and separation.
The laminated sleeve is in Near Mint condition. The colours are vivid, the white is exceptionally bright and the laminate has a sensational gloss. The whole sleeve is completely flat and solid and the earliest pinched spine is firm with sharp text.
