Description
TITLE/ARTIST: Please continue to check out all current and future listings as everything from my personal collection will eventually come up for sale - 45's, Pic Sleeves, EP's and LP's from the '50's, '60's, and much, much more - all "oldies" and all in great condition! Here is one of those early '60's LP`s by the classic surfin'/hot rod group, The Beach Boys, on the original Capitol Label, in MONO from 1962. It was the groups very first LP released - and features the young neighbor, David Mark, who played rhythm guitar with the group at the very beginning, and who is pictured in the album pictures above - and mentioned on the backside, too. The LP is entitled "Surfin' Safari" and features 12 great songs including the title song, plus their hits "409", and "Surfin'" - as well as 9 other goodies. Also, included with this package is an original, near mint, Capitol Records inner sleeve that features LP ads by other artists (even The Beatles) from this label at that time - see all 11 pics above. LABEL INFO: This original Capitol Label (T-1808) is in MONO, and is close to perfect with absolutely no issues at all - I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me that it had very little play - if any at all. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is also super shiny, clean, and nice with again, nothing in need of any mention. In my opinion, the vinyl looks about as good as the day it was 1st purchased, and again, was likely played very sparingly. JACKET INFO: Finally, the jacket is also in excellent condition, although there are just a couple small flaws to mention. There are very small scuff marks in two of the corner areas, a previous owner's "sticker name" on the jacket's backside, and remains of this same sticker that someone tried to remove on the jacket's front side. These issues are pictured in the photos above so please check 'em out. Otherwise though, the jacket is nearly as perfect as the vinyl... INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, this collectible LP is in excellent/near mint overall condition - so please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned "oldies" from my personal collection. As I have already mentioned, over time I am selling off my entire collection, and there are 100's more to get to yet -- of all genre's, sizes, and varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So again, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per LP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$23.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I take a great deal of pride in packaging all my mailings both safely and securely. However, I cannot be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. But, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
