The Beatles - 'Love Me Do / P.S. I Love You'. 45-R 4949

The Beatles 1962 UK 1st pressing of 'Love Me Do / P.S. I Love You' 7" single. Released on the 5th October 1962, this was The Beatles first official EMI release.

Released on the red Parlophone label both sides feature the 'Recording First Published 1962' text. The 'ZT' tax code is embossed on the a-side label dating this vinyl to between the release date of 5th October 1962 and 26th November 1962 (when the tax code changed to 'PT'). An early pressed issue of this rare single complete with early 1/1 stampers to both sides (see below for full matrix numbers). The vinyl is housed within the original 1962 Parlophone Records company sleeve in particularly nice condition.

The Matrix numbers are:

Side 1. 7XCE 17144-1N 1 T T ZT

Side 2. 7XCE-17145-1N 1 H 1 ZT

The vinyl is in GOOD condition.

Both labels are in VERY GOOD+ condition. BUT a name has been written on the a-side.

The original sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
