Issue : 2 UK Complete Original Albums
These are the scarce complete UK Originals of the red album 'THE BEATLES 1962-1967' and the blue 'THE BEATLES 1967-1970' by The Beatles. Both albums have some of the earliest matrix numbers, the original heavy vinyl and the earliest 2 die-cut corner inner sleeves. Both albums have the earliest laminated Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeves and are complete with the rare original gold 'Special Double Album Set' price stickers.
The records are in Excellent condition. The vinyl on each side has a sensational high gloss, with no whitening of the grooves at all, there are just a few of the lightest hairlines and on each side. The blue and red Apple labels are exceptionally clean and bright. The black text is sharp and there is NO spindle wear on any record, just a couple of the faintest spider marks.
On playing the sound is Excellent - rich, vibrant and extremely clear. There are some moments of slight noise but these are insignificant, it does not spoil the enjoyment of the albums at any point. They sound superb.
The records are complete with their earliest red and blue 2 corner die-cut inner sleeves. They are all in the most exceptionally rare Near Mint condition. They have the slightest unavoidable ring wear, but the edges are firm, no edge splits at all. The colours are vivid and they all have their original just pressed sheen. They look fabulous.
The Garrod & Lofthouse laminated sleeves are in Excellent condition. The laminate has an amazing high gloss and it is completely clean. The white has no discolouration, it is still exceptionally bright and the photos are sharp. Both albums have very light corner or edge wear, but it is only minor. The inside images and text are superb. The spines are firm with sharp text and the rare original gold price stickers are still completely clean and sealed.
