THE BEATLES 1962-1966 APPLE SKBO-3403 1ST PRESS 2LP COMPILATION STICKER SEALED
1st release of the album compilation, representing an anthology of the best Beatles songs for the period from 1962 to 1966, which was released in 1973. This issue, released on two LPs, is often called the "Red Album". This copy is a very rare 1st press and has the green Apple Records logo and "1700 Broadway, New York, New York, 10019" address on the back of the sleeve. This copy is the original 1st pressing and NOT the reissue with Capitol's target logo on the back of the sleeve. This factory sealed copy also has a large red hype sticker with the Apple logo and song titles, included in the compilation. The gatefold 1st print cover includes the custom red inner sleeves, containing the lyrics / credits, and Beatles' album discography insert. The inner gatefold photo is from the "Mad Day Out" photo session in London on Sunday 28 July 1968. The current auction also features the second compilation album The Beatles 1967-1970, often called the "Blue Album".
