THE BEATLES 1963 PLEASE PLEASE ME 1st U.K. RED PARLOPHONE R 4983 VG/VG 1GT/1M


This is decent early first press of the Beatles first number one on the iconic Red Parlophone label.


Visually side 1 is VG- with numerous superficial scuffs and other marks, but it plays VG with surface noise on run in and run out grooves but only occasional noise during the actual track. No sticks skips or jumps

Side 2 visually and sonically is VG

evidence of previous initials on both labels which seem to have been removed quite well.

Very early 1GT and what looks like 1M stampers.

Whilst in no way an archival audiophile copy it is an enjoyable listen and still a desirable early first press copy.
