Another from my personal collection of many Beatles records that I have aquired over a period of more than 45 years! An original  rare to find original 1967 release of The Beatles Fifth Chritmas Record release 1967. This is complete and with the original  1st UK issue flipback cover. Normally this is found in a terrible state but this cover is superb with just minor storage wear only. Important note: The record plays through on my Garrard 401 using a dedicated mono cartridge but with some interferance to be expected with these flimsy plastic novelty records for Beatles fan club members only.  When played to record using a stereo cartridge there is a stick towards the end of the play, caused by a very small mark/scratch on the record. The recording below is of the audio before the stick point and after so that you can hear the complete recording.

Note:There is no insert or fan club letter with this item.

Read full description below and please listen to the recording of the record in the player below.

Please note: I recorded this on a turntable with a stereo cartridge, using a felt mat on the platter but I recommend that this type of record is played with a rubber mat to stop the sliding of this flimsy record.  Recorded before the sticking point and after.

The record plays through when I use a dedicated mono cartridge.

The Record

Visually the record looks clean with just a couple of small imperfections/scratches and sleeve scuffs to mention. Note: I have not attempted to clean this record due to the nature of the way these flimsy records are made. The record has been stored in a case for the best part of 50 years and really were not designed to be played that much.

The Audio Quality

I play tested and recorded the record so it can be heard in the player above. Note: The recording above was using a stereo cartridge. There is a stick towards the end of the record caused by a tiny mark on the playing surface, I have recorded the audio before the sticking point and after so you can hear the complete recording. When played on my Garrard 401 system with a dedicated mono cartridge the record plays through fine due to the nature of the different shape of the cartridge needle.  There is also some interference noted in the form of background static crackle ticks and some pops. A lot of the crackle/interference would probably clean out and the correct mat used to play this on, but I have not attempted to do so. Please note: I recorded this using my Garrard 401 turntable using a felt mat on the platter but I recommend that this is played with a rubber mat to stop sliding of this flimsy type of record.

Hear the complete recording in the player above.

The labels

These are the original 1st issued labels! These are very clean indeed. See photos below. No spider trails and no nasty hand writing.

The Record Sleeve

1st UK issue very clean for 50 years old. Nice and bright. Any yellowing on the cover you have to look to notice. Again the same with creases which are very minimal indeed. Overall any storage wear is minimal indeed.

I would grade the sleeve at least excellent to excellent plus in my opinion.
