Labels:
Original UK Apple labels with the rarer slightly rough textured finish associated with the earliest 1973 pressings. Hardly any spindle wear visible.
Inner Sleeves:
Original blue lyric inner sleeves included with the correct angled top edges associated with first pressings. Both remain in excellent condition overall with only small approx one-inch bottom edge splits present.
Sleeve Notes:
Original laminated gatefold sleeve manufactured by Garrod & Lofthouse. Front and rear outer panels remain laminated while the inner gatefold is non-laminated, correct to the original UK issue. Spine lettering remains especially sharp and fully legible. All edges remain in particularly strong condition overall.
Description:
Original UK 1973 first pressing of The Beatles 1967-1970 double LP released on Apple Records.
A particularly attractive early textured-label example, featuring the rarer rougher textured Apple labels associated with the very first UK pressings, unlike the more commonly found later glossy label variations.
Both records remain visually exceptionally clean overall with extremely glossy surfaces and only minimal signs of careful previous handling/play visible under bright light.
Playback is particularly strong throughout with beautiful clear punchy audio and only occasional tiny traces of background crackle audible during careful play testing.
Importantly, spindle wear is extremely minimal across all labels, strongly indicating very light historical use.
The original blue lyric inner sleeves are also included and retain the desirable angled-edge construction correct to first pressings.
The original Garrod & Lofthouse laminated gatefold sleeve grades between Excellent and Excellent Plus overall with especially clean sharp presentation throughout.
A superb genuine UK first pressing Beatles collector copy overall.
Carefully cleaned and fully play tested prior to listing. Vinyl also checked carefully for warping and dishing. Both records remain very flat.
