Printed in a Gatefold sleeve. Commonly known as ‘The Blue Album.’ Was not issued with printed inner-sleeves containing lyric sheets. Cat# “1C 172-05 309/10” (printed on spine)


Aligned to the left margin of the back cover, (EMI ELECTROLA-Logo) “EMI Electrola GMBH. All rights reserved. Printed in Germany by 4P Nicolaus GmbH, Köln”. Aligned to the center margin, “An EMI Recording (APPLE-Logo) Apple Records”. Aligned to the right margin, “C1 [172-05 309/10]” ~ boxed text. 


On all labels: “The Gramophone Company Limited”, “An Apple Record”, “An E.M.I. Recording”, Copyright rim text in German, “Urheber- und Leistungsschutzrechte…”, and “Made in Germany” after copyright rim text. Note the single pressing ring, the original 1973 pressing will contain two pressing rings on the label. Furthermore, this particular issue can be identified by the medium-sized pressing ring, not touching any letters from Side A, track 4, “With A Little Help From My Friends”. Tracklist is not printed in bold font. “STEREO” is in all-caps, printed in bold/wide font.


To distinguish from other versions:

No additional catalog number 400 018 on back cover. Also not blacked. Cover printed by 4P Nicolaus GmbH, Köln and not Lüdenscheid. Copyright text on labels is all in German.

The tracks "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "With A Little Help From My Friends" are listed as (3.) and (4.) respectively on the label, but with the correct track length of “4:42”. As such, the subsequent tracks on side A are off by one.


Due to the manufacturing process some copies may be pressed on dark brown/black translucent vinyl. It takes a strong light to see through.

Vinyl lp will be sent in a rice-paper-lined master sleeve. A three-ply, anti-static material is used for the inner sleeves; this material helps to resist scratches that come from frequent handling. The cover and vinyl record are stored in a 12” outer sleeve. The sleeve is made from a high-density, durable polypropylene material. All of my records have been cleaned using a Spin-Clean washer and KAB Electro EV-1 professional record cleaner.
