The Beatles - 'Abbey Road'. PCS 7088
The Beatles 1969 UK 1st pressing of the 'Abbey Road' LP. Released on the 26th September 1969, and offered here FULLY COMPLETE. This comes with the rare very earliest MISALIGNED APPLE COVER.
Issued on the dark 'Apple Records' label this 1st UK pressing has the rare sleeve variant with misaligned Apple logo on the rear cover. The Apple logo SHOULD be aligned with the track listing but due to a printing error on the initial copies the Apple was printed too far to the left and not in correct alignment with the 'Apple Records' wording. The cover also omits the final track 'Her Majesty' which appears on the later issues. Both sides of the vinyl also feature the very earliest matrix numbers for this release, ending with -2 and -1 respectively. The vinyl is housed within the original Apple Records inner sleeve.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: YEX 749-2 912 OLD (very, very unusual numbers).
Side 2: YEX 750-1 3 MHA
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT++ condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT- condition.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. I shall include an additional inner sleeve to protect the original.
