The Apple By The Numbers site says that there are bootleg copies of this around. It says "fakes exist which do not have machine stamped symbols in the matrix area of the run-out grooves. The original was on black vinyl. Fakes exist only on colored vinyl. This record was made at Bell Sound Studios to promote the release of the Let It Be film documentary”. Bell Sound pressed the official “Let It Be” LP for Apple Records in the USA. This promo 45 has symbols stamped in the run-out area, so it is without a doubt an original rare copy. It says: “Promo 1970 . D – 1” then a symbol that looks like a circle within a circle, followed by a squiggle ( ˜ ) As you can see Apple is mentioned on the label, as is ABKCO, Allen Klein’s company which was managing the Beatles at the time.
This rare original promo 45 is in Near Mint/Mint condition with No Scratches, No writing, No stickers and No fading. Beautiful white label promo !!
The correct Apple company sleeve is in EX/NM condition with NO rips, NO seam splits, and NO tape.
