THIS SALE IS FOR A 1ST PRESSING 1963 BLACK/GOLD "THE BEATLES PLEASE PLEASE ME" LP WITH 6 DICK JAMES CREDITS.
This Lp is an early one with 1GR/1GD stamper codes & was one of the 1st 3300 - 3600 off the press. It has an early MT tax code & 6 Dick James credits. It also has an original Ernest J Day sleeve. Photo credit to the far right & angular flip-back corners. The Lp is in good condition with a lot of marks & scuffs....but the playing quality is still very good with some crackles & pops. There are 2 small skips on the 1st few minutes of music on " I Saw Her Standing There ". The rest of the Lp plays very well with some crackles & a few pops. ( I can e-mail the start to " I Saw Her Standing There ) if you wish to hear the small jumps. The heavy weight vinyl still retains a good shine. Both centre labels are still clean & bright with NO writing. Both labels have spindle wear & some light marks. The inner sleeve is clean & bright but does have some creasing. The original sleeve is in excellent condition & very hard to find like this. The edges are straight & true with a little colour loss & the spine is fully readable although the bottom edge has a 40mm split in the middle. The opening edges are straight & true with NO feathering. The corners are lightly bumped & the front is clean & bright with just a handful of hairlines. The back is clean & bright with a little ring wear to the left side. There is some foxing & shelf wear & the flip backs have a little damage. 


THIS LP IS VERY HARD TO FIND WITH SUCH LOW STAMPERS 1GR/1GD & THE MT TAX CODE. 1 OF 25,000 PRESSED & THIS IS ONE OF THE FIRST 3300 - 3600. ALSO THE 1ST PRESS SLEEVE. THIS IS IN AMAZING CONDITION FOR 50YRS OLD & VERY HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION. YOU CAN STILL PLAY THIS LP OR YOU COULD FRAME IT BEHIND NON REFLECTIVE GLASS. EITHER WAY THE PRICE WILL CONTINUE TO RISE.DONT MISS OUT ON THIS GREAT LP.
