Description
Up for auction is a nice, original copy of The Beatles '65, originally released in the U.S. on Capitol Records (T-2228) in 1965.
-Guaranteed original pressing -Early A2/A5 stampers in deadwax -Original mono pressing -Deep groove labels
-Original black & rainbow rim Capitol labels -RIAA 2 cover in factory shrink wrap
-Original paste-down cover
-Original '65 orange Capitol inner sleeve -No UPC/bar code on cover
Condition: Cover is nice, no ring wear. Light aging to left edge on back. Spine is nice, titles legible. Top edge has a small bump with a little age (see photo). Shrink is intact, no tears or losses. Still a very nicely preserved, very attractive original cover. Grade: Excellent (EX)
Vinyl is also in nice condition, still has its original deep shine. Vinyl has some light hairline scratches and marks on both sides, but nothing deep or serious--nothing that should affect the quality of playback.
Spot tested, when played in the recommended mono mode, the sound quality is very nice, generally clean and clear. No significant surface noise. Nice full-bodied mono sound! Grade: a strong Very Good Plus (VG+)
