Description
Up for auction is a nice, original copy of The Beatles '65, originally released in the U.S. on Capitol Records (ST-2228) in 1965.
-Guaranteed original pressing -Early B2/B4 stampers in deadwax -I AM Scranton, PA triangle stamp in deadwax
-Original black & rainbow rim Capitol labels -Still in opened factory shrink wrap -Original paste-down Scranton cover no RIAA number on back
-Original '65 orange Capitol inner sleeve -No UPC/bar code on cover
Condition: Still in the original shrink wrap, the cover is still beautifully preserved with only minor signs of wear and age. No ring wear on front or back. Seams are very nice, no splits, no cracking or flaking. Spine is nice, and titles are clean and legible. Corners are nice--the two on the open end are a little rubbed and bumped. Shrink is in nice shape no significant tears or losses. Very nicely preserved original cover. Grade: Excellent (EX)
Vinyl is also in very nice condition, still has its original shine. No obvious scratches or scuffs, but under a strong light, a couple very small, superficial hairlines are visible--probably from taking the vinyl out of paper inner sleeve a few times. Labels are clean, no marks around spindle hole, indicating little previous play. Vinyl looks like it's been played only a couple times, but handled with great care. Very nicely preserved. Grade: Excellent (EX)
