Description
The MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR BBC Film was made including 6 new Beatle songs.
The number of songs posed a challenge for the Beatles and their record company EMI, as there were too few for an LP but too many for an EP. The solution was THIS ITEM...an innovative format of 2 EPs with a gatefold sleeve and a 28-page booklet containing lyrics & color pix.
I've attached the 4 sides of the records, the front & back cover and a few other pix, I'm sure you'll recognize. In all there's about 28 pages including 3 pages for lyrics of the 6 songs featured in the TV Film. They are:
RECORD ONE:
Side 1 - MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR, YOUR MOTHER SHOULD KNOW
Side 2 - I AM THE WALRUS
RECORD TWO:
Side 1 - THE FOOL ON THE HILL, FLYING
Side 2 - BLUE JAY WAY
The Sleeve/Cover of this gatefold double EP is VG++
The Mono vinyl for the 2 EP 45s is Near Mint. (It's hardly been played when I bought it I had all songs in other formats.)
Released December 8th 1967 11 days after LP THE BEATLES "MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR" Double EP is probably the most well-known Double EP ever.
