Description
Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - A Collection of Oldies' 1966 FIRST mono press vinyl LP in overall VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+ condition.
This particular pressing features the first press Times New Roman font label on both sides. It also features EXTREMELY EARLY MOTHER STAMPERS 1H & 1H! Possibly a first day press, certainly very very early - do not miss out!!!
Artist: The Beatles
Title: A Collection of Beatles Oldies
Catalogue Number: PMC 7016
Year: 1966
Number of Tracks: 16
Matrix Numbers: 1G 1G
Mother Stampers: 1H 1H
EXTREMELY EARLY MOTHER STAMPERS!!!
Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - lots of hairlines, light scratches and marks. Nothing that I can feel however but it appears to have been well-enjoyed and well looked-after! Currently rated as VERY GOOD-/VERY GOOD. Label is VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+. Side 2 - a few more light, non-feelable marks than Side 1 but pretty similar condition.
Audio: AUDIO GRADING TO FOLLOW!! I believe that this record will play through fine with some background crackle in places - I will let you know asap.
Sleeve: The original 1966 mono flipback sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. The front of the sleeve has a few small laminate creases and smaller creases towards the edges. Nothing major! Still has a great gloss and shine to it. There is also some wear to the corners but they're intact, as are all the edges. The rear of the sleeve has some creases towards the top left and top right corners and also some light ringwear. The flipbacks are 100% intact, they just have some creases and light discolouration. NO WRITING!! Nice and clean! The spine is 100% readable and square with a few small creases here and there. Overall, a sleeve that houses the record very well and looks great! Not mint, but VERY GOOD. DO NOT MISS OUT!!!
PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!!!
As with all the vintage records I sell, I advise a deep clean to enhance the sound quality of the record. Overall, a classic Beatles record that everyone should own!
