Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - A Collection of Beatles Oldies 12" 1966 RARE FIRST PRESS STEREO original Parlophone LP vinyl press' in overall EXCELLENT- condition.
VINYL:-
Visual:
- Side 1 - some light hairlines, nothing serious or feelable. Rated as EXCELLENT-. Label is EXCELLENT.
- Side 2 - a few more light marks than Side 1 but nothing major! Rated as VERY GOOD+. Label is EXCELLENT.
Audio:
- In my eyes, the audio is EXCELLENT if not EXCELLENT+!! I have play tested it all the way through and can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO JUMPS and NO STICKS on my system! Barely any crackle!! A very clean copy with lots of clarity!! Even in between tracks there is barely any crackle - a copy that doesn't sound like it's been played many times at all!! Very punchy, crisp and loud - cannot fault it!! Lies very flat and plays very well!
Original EMI advertising inner sleeve is in GOOD condition only. Unfortunately, the bottom of the inner sleeve has an approx 6" split an both sides have an approx 2.5" split.
The original stereo flipback sleeve is intact and houses the record very well. I rate it as VERY GOOD. Several laminate creases and creases to the front of the sleeve. Slight discolouring here and there and light rubbing on the bottom of the sleeve - please see pictures! Spine is 100% readable with a few creases and age-related wear.
Overall, a fantastic sounding copy of this Beatles 1966 classic!
