THE BEATLES, A HARD DAY'S NIGHT, 1964 UK PARLOPHONE MONO 1st PRESS.
Beatles' iconic album titled A Hard Day's Night, Catalogue Number PMC 1230. It's a 1964 mono first pressing on the Parlophone record label, with a first issue Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. "Patents pending" front-laminated flipback sleeve. It comes complete with the correct white lined "Emitex" inner sleeve. [The record labels have "THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD...", "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964" and "SOLD IN U.K..." text. The record matrix numbers are XEX-481-3N and XEX-482-3N. The K T Tax Code is embossed either side of the Side 1 spindle hole].
The record itself is in very good condition and is very shiny. There some feint lines and marks on the record which are commensurate with its age and use. I have played both sides of the record in full. There are no skips or jumps and the audio is clear and not distorted. A wonderful listen actually. Being critical there are the occasional hiss and crackle in the lead in to one or two tracks but this is usual and expected with vinyl records.
The sleeve is not torn or split and has not been taped or anything like that. There are some noticeable discolourations as per the pictures and the corners show signs of wear and use. The original emitex sleeve is not split or torn but again shows signs of discolouration and creasing.
Overall this is a very good example of this iconic Album.
