Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - A Hard Day's Night 12" 1969 RARE stereo NO SOLD IN UK FINAL Parlophone LP vinyl' in overall VERY GOOD condition.
This particular pressing features the ULTRA RARE last 60's Yellow & Black Parlophone label with NO SOLD IN UK statement! This pressing and label literally ran for 3-4 months. Extremely hard to come across now!
What makes this EVEN RARER is the fact that labels are TEXTURED! Haven't really came across this variation on A Hard Day's Night so very interesting!
VINYL:-
Visual:
- Side 1 - lots of hairlines, light marks and scratches. One feelable light scratch to the first 3 tracks - doesn't feel too deep. There is also a mark on the last two tracks going into the label. This is very very lightly feelable, shouldn't cause a problem. Rated as VERY GOOD-. Label is VERY GOOD.
- Side 2 - lots of hairlines, light marks and scratches. A few are very lightly feelable but don't look like they'd cause skis or jumps etc. Rated as VERY GOOD-. Label is VERY GOOD.
**EDIT!!**
I have just noticed the following mark on the run-in to Side 1. Looks like a small chip - DOES NOT SKIP OR AFFECT PLAY THOUGH!!!
Audio:
- Audio is currently rated as a strong VERY GOOD+!!! I have play tested this all the way through from start to finish and can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO STICKS and NO JUMPS!! There is some crackle in the run-ins and in-between tracks but during the tracks, there isn't much audible surface noise. Light pops and crackle are present in the quieter passages but it is never overbearing or prominent and I found it to be a very enjoyable listen! Fantastic stereo mix with a lovely amount of clarity and punch! It's nice and loud and still has all the original tonality present! Lies flat and plays well!
Original 1969 small stereo flipback sleeve is currently rated as GOOD+/VERY GOOD-! The front of the sleeve has a lot of laminate creases, creasing and edgewear. There is a slight rip towards the bottom right of the opening edge (pictured!). There is a laso a slight rippling effect to the opening edge. The rear of the sleeve has some discolouration, some ringwear and staining but no writing or graffiti! The spine is 100% readble, just rounded and creased with some laminate peeling.
Overall, the sleeve houses the record well. Probably a playable decent collection filler...?? I hate the term collection filler because this is much more than that!!
