ULTRA-RARE '8-STAR' PARLOPHONE LABELS

MATRICES:

VINYL LP GRADES AT VG+
LABELS GRADE AT VG+
SLEEVE GRADES AT VG

Offered for auction is a very-good example of the first Scandinavia MONO pressing of A Hard Day's Night which features labels with the early '8-star' Parlophone design (which is a unique variation of the gold '8-star' label seen on earliest UK pressings of Please Please Me).

CONDITION: VINYL
both sides of this record was played in entirety and apart from an occasional low-level pop or click, the LP played without track-jumping or sticking. Considering that when looked at under light a moderate amount of marks and light-scratches can be seen, the quality of actual playback is impressive and the listening experience uncompromised. It's a testament to the production values of the day that it takes more than visible marks to mar the integrity of the groove. The subjective condition of the LP would be enhanced by a bit of careful cleaning.

CONDITION: LABELS
as illustrated by the hi-res pictures, the labels are in VG+ condition.

CONDITION: SLEEVE
it was common for Danish Beatles LP's to be housed in imported sleeves and the sleeve supplied with this particular record is no exception. The standard UK Garrod & Lofthouse 'mono' sleeve is in a VG condition and is not perfect (as the grade suggests). There are no splits to any of the seams and the text on the very-tight spine is as new. The supplied hi-res pictures show all defects so please examine thoroughly. The sleeve back is perhaps whiter than the scan suggests.
