Condition:
Sleeve: EXCELLENT - Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve is in amazingly good condition, especially considering it 50 years old.
Very clean throughout, and free of writing and stickers. Excellent strong spine with bold title print. All flipback seams are intact. There are only about 6 light edge creases in various places, but they are light and do not detract from the high quality of the sleeve.
All edges are free of splits. There is some light buffing to the corners on the opening edge, and a couple of light handling marks on the top seam on the rear.
The inner is the standard white paper lined EMITEX type, in lovely clean condition. Free of creases and unmarked, although it does have splits to both sides.
Record: EXCELLENT - The heavy vinyl is in really great condition with a nice clean sheen. When examined under strong lights, both sides display some very light and hard to spot hairlines and surface scuffs - but I stress that they are VERY LIGHT and do not detract from the high quality of the vinyl.
The labels are clean and bright, totally free of writing and stickers, and show only light surface spindle wear.
Side 2 shows the more rare embossed "MT" Tax Code.
Checked for sound and quality - and it plays superbly well throughout - no skips or jumps. The original MONO sound is a real joy to listen to.

I try to accurately describe the condition as per The Record Collector's Guide's parameters:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or unplayed should be mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have some slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
