Description
Original copy (MATRICES ARE XEX 481/482 - 3N). This is the variant with a ‘stretched’ side 1 title and no title on Side 2 - average selling price £40 on Discogs. The vinyl is shiny, with barely any visible marks apart from two parallel side-long visible scuffs on side 1 which do not affect play at all. The record has been fully play tested and sounds wonderful, with all the punch and clarity that a mono copy brings (prior to 1968, George Martin put the great bulk of his efforts into Mono mixes).
The labels are clean and bright, with some spindlewear.
The original inner, poly lined, is in superb condition.
The flip back sleeve is in great overall condition, but has wear to the opening edge, a 1 cm tear to the front, and a 5 cm tear on the rear (see photos). The spine is absolutely solid. The front has a few creases in the lamination, and the rear has a little overall discolouring. No writing - rare for those days - tears, or stickers.
Listed at a substantially lower price to reflect visible flaws - but a great listening experience.
