Description
Up for sale is a mid 60s mono pressing of one of the most famous Beatles albums! This pressing dates after July 1965 and some time before August 1966, with "Gramophone Co." rim texts but still including an Emitex inner sleeve and not having the "I SHOULD HAVE KNOW" error on the side 1 labels.
Vinyl - VG+ - I'd happily grade this as EX if it weren't for the marks that are shown in the photos. Despite their appearance, they do really little to affect the sound and it's still loud, strong and confident over every single track. Just some very small ticks in some of the more quieter segments. When you sum your cartridge to mono, these ticks get a lot quieter and the record just sounds fantastic to listen to! Warm and rich throughout.
I play-test my records on a very revealing transcription deck and this LP was just a treat to listen to. Beyond the marks, there are only very small signs of sleeve removal marks and play on both sides. Aside from the small marks, it's in a truly awesome condition.
Cover - VG - The cover has signs of wear on both sides but overall it's in decent shape. It has wear to the laminate and openings, some corner dinks & other spots of wear, with some ring wear and some yellowing on the back panel. It's not the best, but believe me I've seen worse! These original first pressing covers are notorious for yellowing on the back panel as they age.
Included is an original Emitex inner sleeve, but unfortunately it has seam splits. I have not repaired these myself, I'd rather leave that decision to the buyer.
