FULL LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE, PRINTED BY GARROD & LOFTHOUSE LTD.
THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD printed at the perimeter.
RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964 & SOLD IN U.K. printed on the labels.
Tax code "M and T" letters are embossed on the B-side label.
A-side, Matrix number XEX 481 - 3N
B-side, Matrix number XEX 482 - 3N.
Original paper/poly lined “inner sleeve.
GRADING
THE GATEFOLD SLEEVE: EX- (see pictures)
The gatefold laminated sleeve is robust, fully intact and retains much of it's original gloss finish, showing just a little discolouration that is quite usual.
The front surface is nice and clean, just a couple of light laminate wrinkles and just a bit of shelf wear at the bottom corners; otherwise the edges are nice and sharp with no breaks or damage.
The spine is clean and clear with "A Hard Day's Night - The Beatles" printing clearly visible.
THE RECORD: EX-
The record has a good sheen (see pictures) and plays very well indeed with a quiet background.
There are a few spindle marks at the centre of the records indicating it has been played and enjoyed a number of times.
Under strong light quite a few light sleeve removal marks can be seen; a barely discernible mark at the beginning of track 2 side 1 gives rise to short skip, but otherwise the record plays faultlessly.
The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
