Labels:
Original UK black and yellow Parlophone mono labels. Both remain particularly clean with hardly any spindle wear visible.
Side One carries the embossed KT purchase tax code around the centre of the label.
Sleeve Notes:
Original front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. flipback sleeve.
The sleeve remains particularly attractive overall with strong colour and glossy front laminate. Some light age-related creasing and minor edge/corner wear is visible, principally around the lower edge. The rear remains very presentable with the original flipbacks intact and some general age toning and light handling wear.
A small period black and white “PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A MONO RECORD” retail sticker remains attached to the upper left corner of the rear sleeve.
Description:
Original UK 1964 mono pressing of A Hard Day’s Night by The Beatles, released on Parlophone Records.
The record remains in strong Very Good Plus condition overall with glossy surfaces and light signs of previous handling and play.
Playback is strong throughout with clear, punchy audio and some light background crackle audible in places.
There is a feelable scratch running across tracks 4 and 5 on Side One. Despite being feelable, its effect on playback is surprisingly minor and is principally noticeable during the quiet space between the two tracks.
A very presentable early UK mono Beatles copy with strong playback overall.
Carefully cleaned and fully play tested prior to listing. Vinyl also checked carefully for warping and dishing. Record remains very flat.
