Description
This is an auction for The Beatles LP, A Hard Day's Night.
This was released by Parlophone records in 1965 and has catalogue number PMC1230. This is the 2nd press with a black and yellow label with "The Gramophone Co Ltd" and "Sold In U.K." label text. This also comes with a G & L sleeve with a small sized "Mono" on the front cover. Please check the pictures for clarification.
Matrix: XEX 481 3N XEX 482 3N
Condition: The sleeve has some tiny lamination creases seen on the front cover and some discolour marks, some of which will clean of the front laminated surface, also with buffing to the very corners and mouth edge and lastly on the rear top left corner a pen mark can just be seen. Otherwise its fine, spine & edges ex, no tears, bends or creases, lamination at mouth fine, flipback edges ex, No fingering indentations, a nice crisp sleeve and graded at VG+.
This comes with its original inner sleeve which has a side edge split but is otherwise ok.
Both labels are clean and look near new, under a strong light a few spindle trails, finger marks and dust marks can be seen on each side. The centre hole shows some picking, please check the pictures on supersize.
The vinyl retains its new shine and looks new. Under a stong light a couple of tiny feather scratches and some dust marks can be seen. I have of course given this a test play through both sides and was pleased to find that this plays superbly well. The above mentioned feather scratches and dust marks are completely non-audible. Stunning quiet breaks and entries, strong audio with no distortion, fading or dragging heard whatsoever. No surface noise to report on either side with the music playing perfectly and certainly with very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. This does not suffer from any reduction due to wear as it has been played a few times only.
Just about as good as you can find it and graded at Near Mint. If your buying for sound quality this one is for you, a collectors item and final upgrade, from my collection to yours.
