Original U.K. Stereo 3rd pressing LP
Parlophone LP (PCS 3058)
Very rare UK Stereo Yellow & Black original third press in front laminated flipback Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd Patents Pending sleeve which has the small solid Stereo top right. This pressing is from 1969 but still on the original Yellow & Black label. Has the "Gramaphone Co Ltd...." text in upper case around the edge of the label but does NOT have the "Sold in the UK...." text. Matrix are: Side 1) YEX 126-1. Side 2) YEX 127-1. The original inner sleeve is missing.
Make no mistake, this Stereo pressing is actually much harder to find than earlier pressings. By the end of 1964 A Hard Days Night had sold around 600,000 copies & after that total sales never exceeded 800,000 showing that this third Stereo pressing from 1969 sold far less copies.
The sleeve is in superb condition as seen in the photos, just the odd tiny laminate crease & the lightest of discolouration to the edge of the rear by the sleeve opening. The labels show some light spider marks with only the lightest of spindle wear. The playing surface still retains a lot of its original deep gloss sheen, having one scuff & just a few very light hairlines on both sides that cannot be felt & do not affect the playback. Playback is still superb. We have done a soundfile so you can hear the playback quality. This sounds even better on a stereo rather than recorded straight into a computer & we have also included a quieter song so you can hear the great playback quality of this copy. This is still in nice collectable condition.
Please note that we do NOT use noise reduction on our sound files so you get to hear how the record plays. We use a Technics SL1210 MK2 which are well known for giving a slightly worse sound quality when hooked up to a computer as to what you'll hear through the stereo.

Sleeve: Excellent + (No tears, splits, writing, bends, ringwear etc, just the odd tinyl laminate crease, slight dirtying to one edge of the rear)Record: VG++ (still has some original sheen with only light signs of being played, No scratches, just one light scuff & just a few very light hairlines on each side that are hard to see without a very bright light & do not affect the playback)

Our grading is strict so as not to dissapoint, we have been selling on ebay since 1998 & know how important this is. Grading of records is done with the record angled under a 100 Watt bulb. Scans are of actual item up for auction. All records are packed securely & most importantly packed outside of the picture sleeve (in a plain inner sleeve) so as to avoid seam splits during shipping.Near Mint
Almost mint.Very minor paper scuffs and very little else can appear on the vinyl. This will most likely have occurred during packaging, or removing the record from the inner sleeve but obviously it had been handled with extreme care.Any flaw should be very hard to see. The cover should look as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and/or age. Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may be acceptable, however the artwork should be as close to perfect as can be.
Excellent
An excellent condition for vinyl will allow minor scuffs (Scuffs lay on top of the grooves) which are visible but only slightly.The wear should be minimal.The play should be close to perfect as well. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear. Some slight creases to the corners, but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye. The corners can show a little white, meaning slight wear. No seam splits or writing on the cover or taped repairs.
VG++
As Excellent but with a larger number of scuffs, maybe a couple of hairlines (very light scratch that can't be felt) or a couple of marks. Sound quality should still be very close to that of an Excellent record with only minor crackle in quiet segments only, NO scratches that can be felt. Cover as Excellent but there may be a small seam split on the cover, or a very minimal amount of writing like a name written in small writing or a number. A VG++ record should be an acceptable record to live with if you aren't looking to pay the price of a Near Mint copy.
