Description
Original 1st UK pressing of the classic Beatles LP “Abbey Road” from 1969.
Misaligned apple logo on rear of sleeve. Dark green apple labels and no “Her Majesty” on labels (or sleeve)
Matrix numbers / Mothers / Stampers
Side 1: YEX 749 - 2 / 3 / ORD
Side 2: YEX 750 - 1 / 1 / MDO
The vinyl visually grades between VG and VG+ with very fine non feelable hairlines and paper scuffs when viewed under strong light only. It has been fully play tested and plays EX- throughout. A few very very low level background crackles heard in some of the spaces between tracks and a couple of the quieter sections on side 2 and 2 very soft clicks at the end of “here comes the sun king”. This is genuinely minimal and barely noticeable. It sounds great throughout with nice clear audio and was a very enjoyable listen throughout. No pops, loud background crackle or hiss, no sticks, no jumps, no warping. Overall a really decent playing copy. VG+ overall visual grade and EX- play grade .
(Note - side 1 grades VG+ visually and plays EX, side 2 grades VG visually and plays VG+ to EX-)
The sleeve grades as EX+ and is in really nice condition. A couple of very small laminate crinkles only. Fully legible spine. No writing, creasing, rips, tears or splits.
Original plain white “patent number” inner sleeve is EX
Overall this a very nice playing original 1969 copy with the misaligned sleeve.
