Description

I bought this Beatles 'Abbey Road' vinyl LP in October 1969. It is in excellent condition and played well in the late 80s when I last owned a turntable. There is some damage to the sleeve in the lower left-hand corner of the Pedestrian Crossing side and on the inner paper sleeve there are what looks like teacup stains.

The matrix on the Side A Run Out: YEX 749-2 also 'WGL' etched vertically and The matrix on the Side B Run Out: YEX 750-1 also 'RTR' etched vertically

An E.M.I. Recording. Thanks to George Martin, Geoff Emerick and Phillip McDonald. Photographs by Iain Macmillan

Printed by Garrod & Lofthouse International Ltd

This first press has variations on the sleeve. The apple logo is misaligned with the rest of the text.         The so-called 'hidden track' "Her Majesty" is also missing from the sleeve and the vinyl label but was included in later versions.
