Capitol Records' concept was similar to their 1966 Beatles compilation album,"Yesterday And Today" --
take a collection of Beatles songs that never appeared on any Capitol Records Beatles album -- and --
Voila!... the LP: "Hey Jude" ("The Beatles Again") was born (-- just as The Beatles disbanded.)
"Hey Jude" is a collection of songs from several sources; non-album Singles and B-Sides.
The album wasn't actually compiled by Capitol -- but was conceived by Allen Klein and Apple Records.
