THE BEATLES AIN'T SHE SWEET ORIG. US PS 45 ATCO 45-6308

   From 1964 comes this original US picture sleeve 45 RPM pressing of the Beatles' single "Ain't She Sweet"/"Nobody's Child" (Atco 45-6308), released as America was still in the early throes of Beatlemania and when anything Beatles-related - even this quickly tossed-off John Lennon-sung cover of mentor Gene Vincent's version of the golden oldie "Ain't She Sweet" from the group's 1962 German sessions backing Tony Sheridan - seemed worth releasing by companies that weren't lucky enough to be Capitol!
   This picture sleeve is in very good condition with a record impression, ring wear, bending & creasing along its edges and corners, a fair amount of crinkling and a few small tears along its top, a few small spots of discoloration, a cut-out hole in its center, a 4" seam split along its left edge, an inch-long split at the top of its right, and a 2" split in the center of its bottom.  The 45 within has "Division of ATLANTIC RECORDS, New York, N.Y." along the bottom of its labels (as opposed to the "Mfg. by Atlantic Records" print along the rim of the 1969 re-issue) and is very good as well.  Its labels are very good plus with another cut-out hole, a small sticker on the a-side, a bit of wear, and a few more spots of discoloration on its b-side.
   To protect your investment, this 45 - as with all vinyl purchased at The Great Escape Online - will be placed in a new plastic outer sleeve prior to packing and shipping.
