The album was of course, named after the London road in St. John's Wood that houses the E.M.I. studios (although, at one time it was going to be titled, "Everest").
The cover photograph was taken on Friday 8th August 1969 by Iain Macmillan at 10 o'clock in the morning.
For these quick snaps the police held up the traffic for 10 minutes as six pictures were taken (in two of which Paul wore his sandals).
Along with Sgt. Peppers, once again The Beatles managed to create something so iconic that it has been imitated many times.
Side 1: Come Together / Something / Maxwell's Silver Hammer / Oh Darling / Octopus Garden / I Want You (She's So Heavy)
Side 2: Here Comes The Sun / Because / You Never Give Me Your Money / Sun King / Mean Mr Mustard / Polythene Pam / She Came In Through The Bathroom Window / Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End
LABELS: NEAR MINT
Clean, fresh and unmarked labels - barely a spindle trace to be seen
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT+
Both surfaces shine like-new with nothing but wispy hairlines visible under bright light
VINYL Audio: EXCELLENT+/NEAR MINT
Plays beautifully with a deep, rich and warm sound and my play-check at volume found little to fault - a couple of tiny background ticks noted on Side One - nothing really and nothing to fault Side Two
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT+
Deep glass-like gloss to the laminated surface - crisp, sharp edges and spine
