SCARCE GREEN VINYL PRESSING / APPLE RECORDS / SERIAL #PCS 7088 / PRINTED 1978 / UK
This is part of a large collection that we will be listing within the next few weeks. Please note that this is the legitimate press that came out in 1978 on green vinyl and not the knock-off that circulating among record shows.
DESCRIPTION / CONDITION:
Artist : THE BEATLES Album : ABBEY ROAD - GREEN VINYL - 1978 PRESSING Label : APPLE Code : PCS 7088 Format : 33 Genre : ROCK Pressing : UK Matrix : YEX750 Cover : VG+. This is a typical, thin paper, laminate British cover. There are light stress marks along spine and top and bottom edges. They are more predominate on the back cover, primarily on the top and bottom right corners. There is a stress mark on the front cover behind Lennon's head. Please examine photos carefuilly. There are no tears or no visible ringing. Vinyl: : SIDE 1. VG+. I can see a few very light , hairline marks on the vinyl so I downdragded it for that reason. Nothing deep but can be seen if examioned under a very strong light. Label nice and clean SIDE 2. VG++. Two very light scuff marks that can be seen along the outer edge. Certainly on the surface and nothing deep. The l;abel has a slight "bubbling" look around the hole (see photo). I don't believe it to be from wear but something that occured during stamping. The Grading for VG+ falls into this criteria:
"VG+ records may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Minor signs of handling are OK, too, such as telltale marks around the center hole, but repeated playing has not misshapen the hole. There may be some very light ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable".
